It was another milestone night for Sidney Crosby, and for his longtime friend and teammate Kris Letang.

Arturs Silovs gave up a goal on Vancouver’s first shot, then stopped the next 23 to record the win. Other Penguins goals were scored by Connor Dewar, Anthony Mantha, Tommy Novak, and Justin Brazeau.
Crosby was humbled by the fact that Lemieux was there last night and recalled how Mario opened his home to him when he first came to the NHL.
The Penguins are 5-2 on the season. Crosby says they’ve had to do it in a variety of ways.

Coach Dan Muse is impressed with the Penguins’ versatility.

It’s still plenty early, but the Penguins, Devils, Hurricanes, and Capitals all have ten points to top the Metro Division. New Jersey and Carolina are 5-1. The Penguins and Caps are 5-2.
