Charges were filed yesterday at Magisterial District Court 47-3-01.
Lang was arraigned on October 18 at approximately 9:00 p.m. before Magisterial District Judge Susan M. Gindlesperger and was remanded to the Cambria County Prison. Bail was denied.
On October 18, 2025 at approximately 3:45 a.m., the Jackson Township Police Department was dispatched for a report of a shooting at a residence along the 100 block of Heritage Lane in Jackson Township.
The Cambria Township and Nanty Glo police departments were also dispatched to the scene and the Pennsylvania State Police was requested to lead the investigation.
The victim, identified as Robert Edward Hagen, Jr., 55, of Jackson Township, was found to have sustained a gunshot wound to his upper torso and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Troopers learned that at the time of the incident, Hagen was in his pickup truck, which was parked in the driveway of Lang’s residence. A known adult female was also in the truck with Hagen. Troopers also learned that Lang was familiar with Hagen.
Lang, while armed with a handgun, then exited the residence and approached the truck. He was then taken into custody without incident.
A 9mm handgun was seized from the residence and two 9mm shell casings were recovered from the driveway of the residence.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for October 27 at 9:00 a.m.
