The National Weather Service has issued two cold-weather warnings for today and tomorrow.
A frost advisory is in effect from now until 9:00 AM for Indiana, Jefferson, Westmoreland and Armstrong counties. Temperatures have gone to 33 degrees, meaning that crops, sensitive vegetation and flowers are expected to be affected, and unprotected outdoor plumbing will also be affected. The NWS has also issued a freeze watch for tomorrow morning from midnight to 9:00 AM tomorrow as temperatures are expected to go to as low as 31 degrees.
People are advised to keep warm and to take steps to protect tender plants from the cold.
