A Brisbin man was seriously injured after being thrown from his motorcycle during a crash Tuesday evening in Ramey Borough.
State police say 28-year-old Bryan L. Newsome was riding along State Route 253 around 7:37 p.m. when he failed to negotiate a curve, crossed into the opposite lane, and struck a guide rail. Newsome was thrown about 15 yards, landing on a shed roof before falling to the ground.
Newsome was taken by Houtzdale-Ramey EMS to Altoona Hospital with suspected major injuries. Police cited him for a lane violation.
