A man is dead after falling from a tree stand in Westmoreland County this past Friday.
Officials say 64-year-old Kent Horrell suffered the fatal injuries while out hunting off Route 380 in Washington Township. He was transported to AHN Forbes Hospital in Monroeville, where he reportedly died about an hour after the fall. Horrell suffered a blunt impact injury to his head, the medical examiner said.
Horrell’s obituary says he was a Kiski Area graduate who worked in construction before retiring in 2015.
