A woman is facing felony stalking and harassment charges for allegedly terrorizing her adult daughter over several weeks, continuing a pattern that police say spans more than a decade.
According to ExploreJeffersonPa.Com, 55-year-old Charlene Lea Smilo of Valier – less than a mile north of Indiana County – sent her daughter approximately 193 unwanted text messages and repeatedly walked past the victim’s Punxsutawney home, despite being ordered to have no contact. When confronted, Smilo allegedly insisted her adult daughter “needs to start listening to her.”
Smilo was arraigned on September 22nd, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for October 22nd.
