Indiana County President Judge Thomas Bianco will hear arguments today concerning a motion by the prosecution to dismiss Kevin Foley’s petition for relief from his murder conviction.
Foley was found guilty in the 2009 stabbing death in 2006 of Blairsville Dentist John Yelenic. The now-60-year-old Foley is a former state trooper, whose conviction was already upheld by the State Superior Court in 2012 and by the Supreme Court in 2017. He’s serving life in prison at the state prison in Schuylkill County, but has been taken to Indiana County for today’s hearing.
