Charges have been filed against a New Kensington man in connection with injuries sustained by an infant.
Twenty-five-year-old Jacob Piontek was allegedly caring for a two-month-old baby who was rushed to the hospital last month after appearing to suffer cardiac arrest. Medical evaluations later revealed the infant had experienced seizures and multiple physical injuries consistent with trauma.
Piontek was arrested yesterday and now faces charges including aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of children.
