More autumn-like conditions are expected over the next few days, and that includes frigid temperatures in the overnight hours.
The National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory for Indiana, Westmoreland, Armstrong and Jefferson Counties from 2:00 to 9:00 tomorrow morning, with a freeze watch in effect from midnight to 10 Friday morning for the same area. For the frost advisory, the NWS says temperatures will go as low as 32 degrees, resulting in frost formation. The freeze watch indicates that temperatures in the region will go as low as 28. The frost and freeze conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation and possibly affect any unprotected outdoor plumbing. They advise people to take action to protect tender plants from the cold by covering them up and to make sure that outdoor plumbing is protected as well.
