With the state budget stalemate dragging on, both the House and Senate return to Harrisburg tomorrow. The House was already planning to be back, and on Friday Senator Joe Pittman announced that the Senate would join them.
Pennsylvania has been without a budget since June 30th, and schools, counties, and agencies which rely on state funding are feeling the crunch. The state has missed paying $3.8 billion due to Pennsylvania’s schools since the old fiscal plan expired on June 30th.
