Yesterday, Eisenhower Elementary School was officially recommissioned with ceremonies held at the school’s multi-purpose room.

The ceremony included songs, a poem from students, and remarks from officials. That included school board president Walter Schroth, who was very impressed with the work that was done to bring the school back after a fire destroyed two modular classrooms and damaged the main building in 2021.
Also on hand was Tracie Potts, executive director of the Eisenhower Institute at Gettysburg College. She talked with students about how important education was to President Eisenhower, and how much the students were involved in the event.
