A total of 118 streams and lakes across Pennsylvania — many of them in the western part of the state — are being freshly stocked with trout.
According to the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, more than 116,000 rainbow, brown, and brook trout are being released into local waterways. The stocking effort begins this month and will continue through mid-December.
In Indiana County, a rainbow trout restock is scheduled for October 9th at Blue Spruce Lake aka Cummings Reservoir. This will be at 11:30 in the morning and crews will meet at Coy’s in Nolo before heading out.
