Westmoreland County commissioners have canceled this morning’s public meeting.
Officials explained that there was no need to hold the session—which was intended for bill payments and contract approvals—because the county currently lacks the funds to carry out those actions. The county’s cash reserves are running low as state payments remain stalled amid the ongoing budget impasse in Harrisburg.
Thursday’s scheduled voting session has also been called off.
