Status conferences will be held today in Indiana County Court for two men who are charged with sexually assaulting a child.
One of the hearings is for 39-year-old Shane Allen Plummer of Johnstown. He was charged in connection with an investigation into incidents between 2013 and 2019. State troopers say he sexually abused the victim, who was five at the time the assaults started, on as many as 20 occasions during the six-year period. He is charged with one count each of aggravated indecent assault of a child and indecent assault of someone under 13. He has been in state prison since his arrest.
The other case is for 67-year-old Patrick Joseph Williams who is charged with rape by forcible compulsion and involuntary deviate sexual assault of someone under 16 for cases that date back to 1995. The charges were filed in 2022 after a five-month investigation.
