FORMER AUTO REPAIR SHOP EMPLOYEE ACCUSED OF FORGING PAYROLL CHECKS

A former employee of an auto repair shop in Westmoreland County is facing charges for allegedly forging payroll checks.

Authorities allege that 24-year-old Tyberius Washinski forged and then cashed more than 80 checks while working at Meineke Auto Care in North Huntingdon Township. In total, Washinski is accused of stealing more than $43,000 from the business through the forged checks.

Washinski faces charges of theft, forgery, and receiving stolen property.
