Indiana County 911 sent Black Lick and Blairsville fire departments, Citizen’s Ambulance, Blairsville Borough and State Police at 9:17 this morning to 271 Old William Penn Highway for the two-vehicle crash. Borough police said that a pickup truck was pulling out of the parking lot at Smith Bus when a car headed westbound hit the truck. The truck spun back into the parking lot, while the car went across the road and sheared a utility pole.
The driver of the car was taken to the hospital for treatment. The driver of the pickup had minor injuries, but refused medical treatment. Both cars required towing, and the pole needs to be replaced. A portion of Old William Penn Highway from Villa Road to Serrell Drive remains closed at this time as first responders await the arrival of Penelec crews.
