On last night’s Hawk Talk on Renda Digital TV and U92 radio, IUP coach Paul Tortorella broke down the Crimson Hawks’ 70-24 crushing win over Millersville last Saturday and looked forward to the first road game of the season, this Saturday at Seton Hill. The Griffins are 2-2 and coming off a loss at West Chester.
Tortorella told Jack Benedict that what worked against Millersville won’t necessarily work against Seton Hill.
Quarterback Matthew Rueve was a special guest on the program. He set a new IUP record with six touchdown passes on Saturday, and has eleven in the past two games. Rueve says IUP’s winning tradition was obvious the first time he visited the campus.
IUP wide receiver Maurice Massey is the PSAC West Co-Offensive Athlete of the Week, sharing the honor with Clarion’s Anthony Guercio. Massey had six receptions for 173 yards and four touchdowns against Millersville.
