A Robinson man charged in connection with a fatal crash in West Wheatfield Township in June is free on $50,000 bond.
Court documents show 25-year-old Logan Penrose is facing charges of homicide by vehicle while DUI, aggravates assault by vehicle while DUI and other crimes for the crash that killed Allen Fisher, Jr. of Bolivar. State police said they were sent out on June 27th to the area of Forsythe Road and Route 259 where a pickup truck collided with an SUV. State police accident reconstruction teams determined that Penrose crossed the center line and collided with Fisher’s SUV.
Fisher was killed in the crash while another person was injured. Police said that several empty beer cans were found in the truck and that a blood alcohol test showed that Penrose was above the legal limit.
A preliminary hearing is set for September 24th.
