Nominations are now being accepted for the second annual Rural Health Impact Awards.
The honors will be presented during the Pennsylvania Mountains Rural Health Conference at Indiana University of Pennsylvania on November 20th. The awards recognize individuals and organizations who have made significant contributions to improving health and well-being in rural communities.
Dr. James Kinneer, Chief Human Resources Officer at IRMC and co-chair of the planning committee, says the awards were created to shine a light on people tackling rural health challenges. Last year’s recipients included leaders in behavioral health, social services, and education, such as IUP professor emeritus Dr. Joann Migyanka.
Nominations are open through September 30th and can be submitted online. There is no fee to nominate.
