Indiana County District Attorney Robert Manzi announced charges Tuesday against 25-year-old Logan Penrose of Robinson in connection with a fatal DUI crash last summer in West Wheatfield Township.
Penrose faces multiple charges, including homicide by vehicle while DUI, aggravated assault by vehicle while DUI, and several related traffic offenses.
The charges stem from a June 27th, 2024 crash on Route 259. Investigators say Penrose was driving a Ford F-150 when he crossed into the wrong lane and struck a Honda CRV. The driver of the Honda was killed, and Penrose’s passenger suffered serious injuries.
Troopers say Penrose showed signs of intoxication and later registered a blood alcohol content of point-one-one-seven.
He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Bell, with bail set at 50-thousand dollars cash, and is being held in the Indiana County Jail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for September 24th.
