A Brookville man is jailed on $30,000 bail after police say he threatened two people and mistreated a dog during a domestic dispute.
Jefferson County authorities report that 39-year-old Richard Ross allegedly made violent threats in person and over voicemail, including saying he would “knock [them] out.” Investigators say Ross also picked up a small dog belonging to one of the victims and dropped it from a standing position.
When officers tried to arrest him Friday, Ross attempted to flee. He now faces charges including terroristic threats, disorderly conduct, and cruelty to animals.
