A mobile home was destroyed in a fire Sunday morning in Armstrong Township.

Indiana County 911 sent crews from the Indiana, Coal Run, Iselin, Aultman, Elderton and Homer City fire departments to the fire on Parkwood Road at 6:55 AM. Indiana fire officials said flames were seen coming from inside the house and it was self-venting out the windows when they arrived. Crews were on the scene for about an hour and a half to put it out. Tunnelton, Brush Valley and Saltsburg fire departments were on standby detail.
No one was home at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported. The Red Cross was summoned to help the family, who was not identified in reports. The cause of the fire has not been determined, but it is believed to be accidental.
