Steelers Cornerback Joey Porter, Jr. is officially out for tomorrow’s home opener against the Seattle Seahawks. This marks only the second time in his career that he is missing a game for the Steelers.
Per the status report, he has not taken part in practice all week after he was pulled out of the game last Sunday against the Jets with a hamstring injury. Also out is safety DeShawn Elliott, who suffered a knee injury last Sunday.
On the good side, Nick Herbig was given the green light to start this week. He also had been dealing with a hamstring injury.
