A Penn State student is facing charges for allegedly targeting classmates based on race and gender.
Authorities say 27-year-old David Park attacked a Black male student near the Willard Building in July, then attempted to assault a white female student on a CATA bus about a month later. In total, Park is accused of assaulting at least four students between July 23 and August 27, including another white female and another Black male. He’s also accused of assaulting a university police officer.
According to police, Park admitted his actions were driven by hostility toward Black men and “lustful motivations” toward white women. He has been charged with multiple offenses, including aggravated assault and ethnic intimidation.
