The man charged with killing the United Healthcare CEO has been requested by a Pennsylvania Court to return to the Commonwealth to face charges filed against him last year.
Luigi Mangione was apprehended at a McDonald’s in Altoona after he reportedly killed Brian Thompson in New York. Court documents show that Mangione faces multiple forgery and firearm-related charges along with tampering with court records or identification and with possession of an instrument of crime. Blair County court officials have ordered him to stand trial in November, and a request was made to transfer him to the custody of the county sheriff.
Mangione was to have appeared in court virtually. U.S. Marshalls have 14 days to respond to the request.
