Police have identified two men involved in the beating of a third in late August in Indiana Borough.
Borough Police Chief Justin Schawl said in a statement that 22-year-old Artis Murphy-Butler of Philadelphia and 24-year-old Quadir Neal of Johnstown were taken into custody in connection with the investigation into a fight at 1:34 AM on August 23rd in the 500 block of Philadelphia Street. They were the two men that police were looking to identify in security footage of the incident, and the two allegedly beat an un-named man to unconsciousness. Chief Schawl credited the quick work of Indiana County Detectives and the assistance of the community in apprehending the two.
Both Murphy-Butler and Neal face charges of simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct. They will have preliminary hearings on October 16th.
