Two Powerball tickets—one sold in Texas and the other in Missouri—matched all six winning numbers in Saturday night’s draw, claiming the jackpot. The prize, estimated at $1.79 billion, ranks as the second-largest jackpot in Powerball history.
The lottery said the jackpot—valued at an estimated $820.6 million in cash—is the second-largest in the game’s history. The two winning ticket holders will share the payout.
The record U.S. lottery prize remains the $2.04 billion jackpot won in California on Nov. 7, 2022.
Saturday’s winning numbers were 11, 23, 44, 61, and 62, with the red Powerball 17 and a 2X Power Play.
