BOYS GOLF
Indiana has lost only two Section matches this season, both to Latrobe, and the second of those losses was by a single stroke yesterday at the Indiana Country Club. Latrobe’s Jack Sacriponte shot one under 35 to claim medalist honors. Indiana was led by Drew Brocious, at even par 36. Chace Force and Ryan Bell both came in at 38 and Austin Schawl at 39. Beau Raykes shot 41.
GIRLS GOLF
The River Valley Girls are 8-0 after a 34-stroke win at Punxsutawney yesterday. The Panthers’ Maren Dunlap was the medalist with a 42. Alessia Lamantia was two strokes back, Madigan Dunlap three back, and Ashley Pynos shot 50.
VOLLEYBALL
Indiana took down Franklin Regional three sets to one. A big match for Paige Fisanich, who had nineteen kills and six digs. Chloe Hain had 23 assists. Ellie Long had five kills and five digs, Allison Lichtenfels had five kills, Gianna Boyer finished with four kills and four blocks and Hannah Stone had 18 assists and five kills for Indiana.
JUNIOR HIGH FOOTBALL
Indiana Junior High Football team opened its season with a 28-0 win over Jeannette. Anakan Powell scored twice on runs of 7 and 18 yards. Reed Ligas scored on an 8-yard run and Gage Jones ran one in from nine yards. Michael Carnovale threw an extra point to Ben Steve. Rodney Allen finished the scoring with a safety. Steve also recovered a fumble.
The team will play next Thursday at home against East Allegheny.
