State Senator Joe Pittman and State Representative Jim Struzzi talked about the budget impasse at Eggs and Issues event hosted by the Indiana County Chamber of Commerce this morning.
The budget impasse has gone now three months without an end in sight. Senator Pittman called the issue of public transportation funding one of the major sticking points as they have to assist not just Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, but the rural communities as well.
State Representative Jim Struzzi continued to promote his plan to make the state an energy seller than a buyer. He said that multiple groups have told him that Pennsylvania could be an energy leader if they didn’t have to deal with some regulations.
Other topics discussed during the event included federal budget issues, the natural gas fueled power plant planned for Center Township and others.
