First responders had a busy afternoon with several incidents reported by Indiana County 911.
A brush fire was reported on Juneau Road in Canoe Township at 3:38 PM. That sent Rossiter firefighters out. There’s no word on how much damage the fire caused. This marks the 75th brush fire call this year.
A physical rescue was reported on South Brady Street in Blairsville at 3:39 PM. Blairsville fire and police departments were joined by Black Lick fire department. Blairsville fire officials said that the rescue was at an abandoned mine near the railroad tracks. Two juveniles were rescued. No injuries were reported.

Tunnelton and Saltsburg fire departments were sent out at 6:13 PM for a vehicle fire on Orangewood Drive.
The final call of the day was 10:33 PM for a utility line on fire along Route 553 in Pine Township. Pine Township and Nicktown fire departments were sent out at the time.
