The University Museum at IUP is getting ready to open its exhibit to celebrate the school’s 150th anniversary.
The exhibition, called “IUP@150: Let’s Meet In The Oak Grove”, will have a reception this Saturday from 6-8 PM. During the reception, IUP Professor Emeritus Dr. Charles Cashdollar, who wrote a book on the complete history of the school, will make a speech. The collection will start at the start of IUP’s history when it opened as Indiana State Normal School in May of 1875 and go through the school’s story to today. It will feature selected memorabilia, photos, and other artifacts. It will also include stained glass windows that were originally a part of Thomas Sutton Hall and a time capsule that was buried in 1975.
The exhibit runs through December 6th.
