Linebacker Nick Herbig was the only Steeler listed as “limited” at practice yesterday, and Cam Heyward was a participant, at least in the pre-practice stretching routine. Heyward was not listed on the practice report as the team prepares for Sunday’s opener against the Jets in New Jersey.
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers held his weekly media session and said he feels quite comfortable now in the Steelers’ offense, despite not having seen game action in the preseason.
Rodgers likes the weapons the Steelers have to offer, even his center, Zach Frazier, whom he joked sometimes plays school teacher.
Rodgers says there will be some unfamiliar schemes from both teams in Sunday’s game.
The Steelers yesterday signed wide receiver Lance McCutcheon to the practice squad, replacing Robert Woods, and they officially added linebacker Jon Rhattigan, releasing rookie offensive guard Aiden Williams.
