Donald Franklin Clark, 87 of Indiana, died Friday, August 2025 at St. Andrew’s Village in Indiana with his three children, brother, and sister-in-law at his side. Born January 16, 1938 in Ligonier, he was the son of the late William Clark and Nellie (Johnston) Clark. He was the widower of Lois Ann (Nesbitt) Clark, his wife for 45 years, who died on July 13, 2022.
Don graduated from Ligonier Valley Senior High School and served in the Army. He worked for the former A&P grocery stores and the Student Coop at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP).
Don was an avid sports fan, who followed the Pirates, Steelers, and Penn State and IUP football and basketball teams. He enjoyed model planes and railroading, civil war history, walking and biking, and the nostalgia of old movies, music, and news. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his grandson Baron.
He was a member of the Traditional Holiness Church of Indiana.
Don is remembered by his children Jeff Clark (Miriam Perkins) of Holderness, NH; Scott Clark of Aurora, CO; and Lori Summers (Tony) of Herndon, VA. He is missed by his grandson, Baron Maddock of Herndon, VA; his brother, William (Cady) Clark of Round Rock, TX; and his dog Louie.
In addition to his parents and wife, Don was preceded in death by his siblings Frances Coleman, Charles Alexander, and Joanne DeWitt, all of Ligonier.
A memorial service and celebration of life will be scheduled for a later date. The Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home & Crematory of Indiana is assisting the Clark Family.
