A Penfield man was arrested after a domestic incident involving strangulation and arson in Clearfield County.
State police in DuBois say troopers were called around 8:07 a.m. on August 16 after a 31-year-old Penfield woman reported that a known 65-year-old man had smashed her car’s windshield and was using gasoline to set items on fire near a home’s porch. Police noted visible injuries on the woman. The man was taken into custody and transported to the Clearfield County Jail.
The incident resulted in damage to a 2011 Ford Focus, flooring inside the home, and various burned clothing, police said.
A 63-year-old Sykesville man and the Penfield Volunteer Fire Department were also listed as victims in the report.
Charges are pending.
