It’s a big week for college football, with IUP scheduled to open its season Thursday night at George P. Miller Stadium against Ashland. IUP will play its first three games at home, following up Thursday night’s game the following two Saturdays against Lock Haven and Millersville.
Some of the PSAC schools have already played a game. Clarion opened its season on Thursday with a 34-0 win over Wheeling. Seton Hill lost to Fairmont State 24-21. Edinboro beat East Stroudsburg 29-14. On Saturday, Gannon lost to Davenport 21-12. Shepherd was beaten by Frostburg State 41-27.
Pitt is 1-0 after hammering Duquesne 61-9. The Panthers will play Central Michigan on Saturday at Acrisure Stadium.
After their 46-11 win over Nevada on Saturday, Penn State will host Florida International this Saturday.
