A Derry man has been sentenced for drug trafficking in Indiana County Court.
District Attorney Robert Manzi says 59-year-old Todd Stumpf pleaded guilty to possession with intent to deliver and driving on a DUI-suspended license. The charges stem from a May 15th traffic stop by Blairsville Borough Police, who pulled Stumpf over for multiple violations.
During the stop, officers discovered evidence he was transporting drugs — a finding confirmed by the Indiana County Drug Task Force. A search of the vehicle uncovered more than 900 grams of methamphetamine.
Stumpf later admitted he was paid to transport meth from Maryland to Blairsville every two weeks.
Several additional charges, including simple possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, and criminal use of a communication device, were not prosecuted.
President Judge Thomas Bianco sentenced Stumpf to four to ten years in state prison, followed by one year of probation. He was also sentenced in a separate 2024 DUI case, receiving up to five years in prison. The sentences will run concurrently.
