The Pennsylvania State Police, along with local law enforcement, are increasing impaired driving enforcement over the Labor Day weekend.
Officers and troopers will be patrolling through Monday, targeting motorists under the influence of drugs or alcohol. PSP Commissioner Colonel Christopher Paris emphasized that taking impaired drivers off the road helps save lives.
Last year, during the holiday period, 13 people were killed in crashes across the state—four of those deaths were linked to OVI-related incidents.
