IUP held an intrasquad scrimmage yesterday and new quarterback Matt Rueve threw two touchdowns, covering 32 yards to Maurice Massey and 66 yards to Charlie Mill. Backup QB Zaid Etheridge tossed one to Brennen Holmes. Kicker Nick Andrasi and punter Aiden Spitler both performed well.
Pitt transfer all-purpose man Devin Whitlock is having a great training camp. He says he came to IUP because of Frank Cignetti Jr., and it was the right decision.
Whitlock is a Belle Vernon grad. He says IUP has a deep receiving corps.
Whitlock is truly an all-purpose player who can play multiple positions…and he’s comfortable at all of them.
IUP’s first game is a week from tonight, against Ashland at George P. Miller Stadium.
