GCES hosted an Indiana County Chamber of Commerce after-hours event Thursday night and used it to kick off a month-long fundraising effort.
The event was held at the company’s new office in the SW Jack Building on 9th Street in Indiana. Clinton Smith with GCES said that this was a multi-pronged affair.
The after-hours party also served as the kickoff for the Indiana County Humane Society’s “Sheltember” campaign. Money raised from Thursday night through the end of September will be matched by GCES up to $15,000. Beth Finegan of the Humane Society said that it was a great lift.
Over $2000 was raised to kick off the “Sheltember” campaign.
