As we head into the last holiday weekend this summer, gas prices continue to fluctuate in Indiana County.
Indiana County’s average as of this morning is $3.48 a gallon according to Triple-A. Comparing it to the surrounding counties, it is the next to highest average. Only Cambria county’s average is higher at $3.49 a gallon. After Indiana, Clearfield and Westmoreland Counties are the next lowest at $3.45, Armstrong at $3.44, and Jefferson at $3.35.
Gasbuddy.com showed prices for many stations in Indiana County are hovering around the $3.59 mark, including all Sheetz stations and the GetGo in Indiana. The lowest prices in the region are at Accent Fuels in Brush Valley and in Coral, which are currently $3.15, followed by Townshend Gas and Oil in Homer City at $3.19 a gallon.
The national gas price average as of this morning is $3.20.
