The new fundraising initiative will center around three themes: healthy students, a healthy university and healthy communities. As of the start of this month, the University has already raised over $81 million, and with that support, have decided to take the fundraiser public. IUP President Dr. Michael Driscoll talked about how important it was to be over half-way to the goal before announcing the fundraiser.
The co-chairs of the fundraiser are IUP Alumna and Council of Trustees member Laurie Kuzneski and her husband Andy Kuzneski III. She said that she was grateful for her experiences at IUP, and wanted to give back in this way.
Vice President for University Adavncement Jennifer DeAngelo said there is no firm timeline for when they hope the campaign will wrap up, but there will be plenty of opportunity for people to help outside of financial donations.
IUP’s previous fundraising project, the Imagine Unlimited campaign, wrapped up in February of 2021 and raised over $81 million, well over the campaign’s goal of $75 million.
