Pittsburgh police are working on an animal cruelty investigation that is related to online videos showing mice being killed by fireworks.
Detectives have determined that the footage was recorded at a property on Mount Pleasant Road in the Northview neighborhood. Authorities say the videos show mice that were purchased at a local pet store being duct-taped to the explosives before they were ignited.
A man who is a person of interest was taken into custody on unrelated charges as the investigation continues, according to officials.
