Residents in the Pittsburgh region may see low flying helicopters and planes in the coming weeks.
This comes as the Allegheny County Health Department is working with the U.S. Department of Agriculture to distribute rabies vaccines. Today through September 20th, helicopters, planes and ground vehicles will be used to drop bait specifically designed for raccoons which contain rabies vaccines.
The public is urged to leave the bait alone if it is spotted and to not panic if low flying planes or helicopters are spotted.
