A DuBois woman reported missing earlier this week has been found alive, according to city police.
Authorities say 39-year-old Brooke Elizabeth Andres was spotted walking along Route 36 between Punxsutawney and Brookville in Jefferson County. She had been missing since Monday, when maintenance workers discovered her two young children home alone. Police say the children last saw their mother around 9:30 p.m. Sunday, when she tucked them into bed.
Officials have not released details about her condition or how she ended up at the location where she was found. The investigation into her disappearance is ongoing.
