One portion of Indiana County is experiencing a gas price war as of late.
While Triple-A reports that the county-wide average this morning is $3.34 a gallon, gas prices in Center Township and in Black Lick are way below that mark. Most of the stations, including Sheetz in Homer City and on Route 22 in Blairsville, Quik Fill and the new Teamz Xpress are at $3.15 a gallon, while Accent Fuels reported a price of $3.05 a gallon. Townshend is also below average at $3.07 a gallon.
The Sheetz in Blairsville Borough currently lists its price at $3.29 a gallon. In Indiana Borough, Clymer Borough and White Township, prices are at $3.39.
As far as the average for Pennsylvania today, it is $3.23 a gallon, a two-cent drop from last week.
