Fair season has arrived in the area, starting this week with the Great Dayton Fair, where activities got underway yesterday with a swine breeding show and an antique tractor pull. It continues today with livestock entries, a horse and pony pulling contest, a vespers service in front of the grandstand at seven o’clock tonight, and the crowning of the fair queen at eight. The fair officially begins at one o’clock on Monday and the rides start operating at six.
The Indiana County Fair is from August 21st through the 30th. The Ox Hill Fair begins August 31st, followed by the Cookport Fair, kicking off on September 8th.
