State police are continuing to look for Alicia Markovich, who went missing 38 years ago, and are now increasing the reward for information leading to solve the case.
Markovich was visiting her father in Blairsville on April 26, 1987 and left the house on Dunn Avenue after an argument about her grades, her friends, and her mother’s request for an increase in child support. He believed that she was going to a friend’s house, but she has not been heard from since. She was a freshman at Windber High School at the time of her disappearance, and her case remains unsolved to this day.
