Monday night, the Center Township Supervisors approved two resolutions concerning 2025 Community Development Block Grant funding.
The first resolution authorizes the signing of a cooperative agreement between the township and county officials to submit applications for the program “on behalf of” the township. The second resolution approves the project scope and the three-year community-wide needs and priorities plan for the application. Chairman Matt Housholder said that they are looking at paving roads in Luciousboro.
The borough is seeking $82,000 for the project, and it’s expected to start in the spring of 2026.
The supervisors also approved repair work to guide rails on Bethel Church Road at a cost of $2840 and on Jacksonville Road for $2805. The work will be performed by Keystone Guiderails, LLC of Punxsutawney.
