One year after it was forced to close due to water leaks, the ownership of Luxenberg’s is announcing it will reopen later this month.
In late August of 2024, a water line broke above the store’s former location at 717 Philadelphia Street. That was followed by a hot water tank rupturing a few days later. The decision was made to leave the location after 55 years.
Co-owner and President Jeff Widdowson said that the store will open at its new home in the former PNC Bank at 621 Philadelphia Street on August 21st. Widdowson said that going into their new home had some challenges.
Widdowson talked about how important was to keep the business in downtown Indiana and on Philadelphia Street.
Many of the services offered at the former location, including Computer Aided Design Jewelry Production and sublimation-printed processes, will be offered at the new store.
