A Blairsville woman already serving probation for a catalytic converter theft case was sentenced yesterday in Indiana County Court for a different case.
Authorities accused 59-year-old Debbra McAdams of Blairsville with retail theft and defiant trespass for a case in March of 2024. In April of this year, she pleaded guilty to the theft charge. Judge Michael Clark ordered her to serve four years of probation, including six months of house arrest with electronic monitoring in place. She must also pay court costs, fines and restitution. The sentence will run consecutively with a case out of Westmoreland County.
Earlier this year, she was ordered to serve seven years of probation, including 33 months of house arrest in connection with a string of thefts of catalytic converters from car dealerships. Prosecutors had asked for jail time, but the Westmoreland County Judge said he was being lenient because she was caring for three adopted children and there were no other family members who could take them in.
